Experience

Silvia Tan is the Partner of Risk Management and Quality at Grant Thornton Malaysia PLT.

Experience

Silvia started her career in Grant Thornton Malaysia PLT (“the Firm”) as an audit associate and gained ample of experience in the audit & assurance and corporate exercise engagements before she joined the Technical & Training division of the Firm. Currently, Silvia leads the Risk Management and Quality division of the Firm and is responsible for the development and operation of the Firm’s system of quality management, overseeing the risk and quality management, ethics and independence, and quality monitoring function of the Firm.

She is a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA), the Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants (MICPA) and a Fellow Member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). Her active participation in professional accountancy bodies includes the below:

Member of Financial Statement Review Committee (FSRC) of MIA;
Member of Audit Guide for Practitioners and Illustrative Audit Working Papers Task Force of MICPA.
