Silvia Tan is Partner of Risk Management and Quality of Grant Thornton Malaysia. She enjoys learning and sharing knowledge with her fellow colleagues and clients in assisting them with various technical issues.
Sector experience
Silvia joined Grant Thornton in 2005 and has ample of experience in audit of listed companies, initial public offerings and other business advisory work for the review of profit/cash flow forecast and preparation of Accountants’ Report. She handles both local and international companies from various diversified industries, such as manufacturing, trading, property development and construction and professional service organisations.
As part of the Technical & Training division, Silvia is involved with the consultation and provision of technical support to the auditors, the firm’s audit policy implementation, internal quality control review, planning and conduct of internal training, and as the liaison to the regulators and authorities.
Working with Grant Thornton Malaysia, Silvia has gained much valuable knowledge and skills, thus providing her with the necessary perspective to better assist her clients in meeting their needs and expectations in an ever expanding marketplace.
She is currently a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).
