Frank Tam is a Director of Audit & Assurance and the Practice Leader leading the Sustainability & Climate Change practice at Grant Thornton Malaysia.

Experience

Frank has more than 10 years of experience in audit and assurance work. He has experience with clients in various industries including construction, plantation, oil & gas, property management, pharmaceutical, education, printing and labelling, hotel, general manufacturing and trading, nutrition and health, trust funds, retail and information technology. He also provides audit and assurance insights related to the sustainability and ESG space.

Frank has been involved in audits for companies listed on Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad and has also been involved in various corporate exercises and reviews of prospective financial information including profit forecast and projections, due diligence reviews, IPOs and rights issue.

In the sustainability arena, he has been deeply involved and undertaken numerous sustainability-related engagements including conducting sustainability assurance, providing GHG advisory services, and reviewing and advising clients on sustainability reporting for both large and small companies, including public listed companies in Malaysia.

To meet the growing demand for sustainability services and to lead the firm’s practice, Frank continues to upskill and strengthen his sustainability knowledge by participating in various sustainability-related workshops, training sessions and roundtable discussions with sustainability experts from diverse industries. Currently, he is pursuing IFRS FSA credential certification, that aims to add further value to his clients by linking sustainability information with the company’s financial performance.
