Experts expect Putrajaya to sweat existing tax system

Mr Chow Chee Yen, our Senior Executive Director of Tax Advisory & Compliance recently shared his views with The Edge, where he highlighted fine-tuning exemptions available under SST, including broadening the scope of exempted services or making existing exemption conditions less restrictive.
He also suggested leveraging e-Invoicing to strengthen compliance, alongside incentives, concessions or penalty waivers to encourage voluntary adoption while helping businesses manage implementation and compliance costs.
