Wong Wen Tak

Wong Wen Tak is the CEO of our Johor Bahru office. 

Experience

Wen Tak started his career with PwC London, gaining experience in IFRS implementation and Sarbanes-Oxley implementation and attestation. Subsequently, he worked as a Senior Internal Auditor for G4S plc, the largest security company in the world, primarily responsible for the Asia, Africa and Middle East region, reporting directly to the Head of Internal Audit in London. In 2009, he joined his family practice – M.S. Wong & Co, which he managed and oversaw a period of significant growth and capability building until the firm merged with Grant Thornton Johor operations in 2018.

Wen Tak is currently Chair of the Johor Regional Committee of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) and a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA)’s Digital Technology Adoption Awards (DTAA) Task Force. In his personal capacity, he is serving as an independent, non-executive director and Head of Audit Committee in Gromutual Berhad, a company listed on the Main Board of Bursa Malaysia.

He holds Bachelor of Arts (Economics and Management) from Oxford University, is an Approved Company Auditor and a Licensed GST Tax Agent.
