To support the Quality Risk Management Committee in delivery of services on specific quality management projects in supporting the business operations and implementation of the System of Quality Management. 

Key responsibilities:

  • Support the design, implementation, and ongoing operation of the firm’s System of Quality Management (SoQM) in accordance with ISQM 1, ISAs, ethical standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in identifying, assessing, and responding to quality risks, including risks arising from engagement performance, independence, ethics, client acceptance and continuance, resource management, information and communication and etc.
  • Assist in maintaining, and updating audit quality policies, procedures, methodology and manuals, ensuring consistency with professional standards and regulatory expectations.
  • Assist in overseeing and managing compliance with independence and ethical requirements, including declarations, external business interests, financial interests, and conflict-of-interest matters and etc.
  • Assist in various reportings required under to SoQM.
  • Assist in preparing for and responding to regulatory inspections and reviews (e.g. regulator and other professional bodies), including compilation of information and documentation required and follow-up actions.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of the firm’s quality responses, identify trends or recurring deficiencies, and escalate significant matters to firm leadership.
  • Assist in providing technical guidance to engagement teams on audit quality, independence, and risk management matters.
  • Support the development and delivery of quality-related training for audit personnel, including updates on standards, regulatory findings, and firm policies.

Skills and attributes of success:

  • Strong working knowledge of ISQM 1, ISAs, and audit quality frameworks.
  • Solid understanding of ethical and independence requirements, including the IFAC Code of Ethics and local regulatory rules.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; capable of working effectively in a large team and engaging professionally with leadership.
  • Experience in delivering training sessions and sharing knowledge clearly.
  • Effective coaching abilities to support and guide team members on quality management matters.
  • Good understanding of International Standards on Auditing (ISA) is an advantage.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance ( ICAEW/ACCA/ CPA holder is an advantage) or a related field.
  • Preferred 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Skilled in using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, Teams, and Zoom.
