Grant Thornton expands Cambodia presence with office relocation

“The new office space in Phnom Penh’s prime building allows us to have an even stronger local presence in Cambodia, providing audit, tax, business process solutions and advisory services to the local business and international investors here.

Kuala Lumpur, 18 August 2016 – Grant Thornton Cambodia, a member firm of Grant Thornton International Ltd, one of the world’s leading audit, tax and advisory firms, has announced the relocation of its office. The new office is located at 20th Floor, Canadia Tower, Monivong Boulevard, Phnom Penh.

Dato’ NK Jasani, Country Managing Partner of Grant Thornton Malaysia and Chairman of Grant Thornton Cambodia said: “The new office space in Phnom Penh’s prime building allows us to have an even stronger local presence in Cambodia, providing audit, tax, business process solutions and advisory services to the local business and international investors here.

“The move is an exciting new progressive development for us. It enables our people to deliver even higher levels of service excellence for our clients and also gives us room to accommodate growth and expansion plans.”

Grant Thornton’s presence in Cambodia first started in 2004. A recent reorganisation incorporated the expertise of Grant Thornton Malaysia to expand the service line to meet the increased demand for quality professional services.

Dato NK Jasani continued:

“Grant Thornton Cambodia is one of the six audit firms in Cambodia which has been granted audit license by the Securities and Exchange Commission of Cambodia to audit listed companies. We are also one of the seven audit firms in Cambodia accredited with a bank audit license by the National Bank of Cambodia.

“Grant Thornton Malaysia is proud to be part of this milestone. Having a major equity in Grant Thornton Cambodia, we oversee the overall performance and quality of services that we provide to our clients this region.

“Our Senior Partners visit the Cambodia office at least once a month. Besides that, we also have a Malaysian Manager who is based there where he leads major audit assignments.

“Both Grant Thornton Cambodia and Malaysia are excited about the growth we are experiencing and this move represents a commitment that we continue to grow together with our people, our clients, our markets and communities and across our organisation.

“As a testimony of the growth, we audit the largest PLC in Cambodia, the Phnom Penh Water Supply Authority and we are the Reporting Accountants for a Malaysia controlled company seeking listing on the Cambodia Securities Exchange.”
